Archiving & deleting

The app distinguishes between archiving (reversible) and permanent deletion (final). This applies to clients, time entries, expenses, invoices, payments, and goals.

Archiving

Archive hides a record from its normal page while keeping all its data. It's the everyday way to "remove" something you're done with — an old client, a finished goal, a stale entry. Active pages offer an Archive action.

Archiving is reversible: archived records aren't gone, just tucked away.

The Archived page

Open Settings → System → Archived records to see everything you've archived. From there you can:

  • Restore a record — it returns to its normal page, active again.
  • Delete a record permanently.

Permanent delete can't be undone

Restore and permanent Delete live only on the Archived page. Permanent deletion removes the record for good — there's no recycle bin beyond this. Archive first if you're unsure.

A note on invoices

Deleting an invoice — whether archived or deleted permanently — leaves its source time entries and expenses marked applied, preserving the history. Only removing a source from the invoice (on the invoice detail page) frees that time entry or expense back to unused. See Invoicing.
