Clients

The Clients page lists everyone you work for. Each client stores the details used to bill them and to pre-fill new time entries.

Adding a client

  1. Open Clients from the bottom navigation.
  2. Tap + / Add Client.
  3. A short wizard walks you through:
    • How are you paid? — hourly/contract, or salary. Salary switches the wizard to "employer" wording and changes how your rate is collected.
    • Who do you work for? — the client's (or employer's) name. That's all it needs; billing details come later.
    • When do you work? — pick your usual days (quick picks like Mon–Fri), a start time, and hours per day. This becomes your first work schedule and drives your live earnings estimate.
    • What do you earn? — hourly: just your rate. Salaried: enter it from one paycheck (pay frequency + gross; the same stub's withholding lines can also set up tax and retirement buckets automatically) or as an annual figure — either way the wizard derives your hourly rate from your schedule and shows it live, with an "about $X a week" estimate.
    • Want to log the days you've already worked? — optionally backfill past scheduled days as time entries right now, starting from the beginning of last week, last month, or a date you pick (the wizard shows the exact start date before you commit).
    • Keep you caught up automatically? — choose whether the app should keep logging missed past days for you from here on. See Automatic catch-up. (These last two steps only appear if automatic catch-up isn't already set up.)
  4. Tap Save.

Address, billing, and invoice details aren't part of adding a client — fill them in afterward by editing the client.

Editing a client

Tap a client to open the full dialog, make changes, and Save:

FieldUsed for
NameIdentifying the client and labeling invoices.
Address, Phone, EmailShown on invoices; the email is also where invoices would be sent.
Default bill ratePre-fills the rate on new time entries for this client.
Due daysHow many days after the invoice date payment is due (defaults to 30).
Invoice colorsOptional primary/accent colors for this client's invoices.

The dialog's Schedule tab is also where you refine schedules and time off after the initial setup.

Work schedules & time off

From a client you can also set up a recurring work schedule (and time-off exceptions). This powers smart defaults and the live earnings dashboard — see Work schedules & time off.

Archiving

Use Archive to hide a client you no longer work with. Archived clients are kept and can be restored or permanently deleted later — see Archiving & deleting.

Your own company

Your own company details (the header on your invoices) live in Settings → Company, separate from your client list.
